Mixed Reactions as Reno Omokri opines that Pastor Adeboye would not lie about drinking tea with God

Former Presidential Aide Reno Omokri sparked reactions on X (formerly known as Twitter) after he opined that it could be true that Pastor Adeboye drank tea with God as claimed, stating that angels ate with Abraham in the Old Testament of the Bible, adding that the risen Christ did the same with His disciples. Reno Omokri’s post read, “Pastor Adeboye would not lie about drinking tea with God. Yes, it is my opinion. I was not there. You were also not there. But why is that so hard to believe? In Scripture, angels ate and drank with Abraham-Genesis 18:8. The risen Christ also ate with His disciples-Luke 24:41-43. When I was a teenager, atheists sneered at the Scriptural account of Sarah giving birth at 90. But today, modern medicine makes it possible for 70-year-olds to give birth. It was once thought impossible to be in two places simultaneously, but holograms have made that a reality. What we once thought of as impossible has been made possible through science. And what are miracles? They are simply advanced and divine science. These things require faith. If you are not a person of faith, then ignore what Pastor Adeboye said and move on. You can even say, ‘I disagree’, and continue your life. But to say Pastor Adeboye lied on a matter involving God and him, of which you were not there, is just uncharitable and disrespectful.”
