EXCLUSIVE: I Have Made A Mistake. I Own It Up And I Say God Forgive Me. I Have Said All Of You Forgive Me- Wike saysThe people of Rivers State have been asked to pardon Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for appointing Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, as his successor. Speaking at Chief George Thompson Sekibo’s 20 years at the national level and his 36 years in public service, at the grand civic reception held at Ogu-Bolo, Wike said he has acknowledged that he made a mistake.

The former Rivers State governor said that he is human and that he is prone to making mistakes.

According to the report by The Nation on Saturday, he said, “I want to say this clearly, in life we have made a mistake. I have made a mistake, I own it up and I say God forgive me. I have said all of you forgive me. But we will correct it at the appropriate time. I am a human, I am bound to make a mistake. So forgive me for giving rise to wrong judgement. So nobody should kill.”

Speaking further, Wike said that no injunction would stop the law from taking its course. He said that due process must be followed.

The former governor also addressed the lawmakers in the state, saying that they should not be afraid because nobody can remove them from office.

He said, “Don’t be afraid nobody will remove you as a lawmaker. Most of you don’t understand. This is our work. Our business is to make them to fear. That is what I am doing. We will make them to be angry everyday and they will continue to make mistakes.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
