One of the most powerful branches of the Russian military is supposed to have originated in Chechnya, a territory where 99% of people claim to be Muslims, according to Femi Fani Kayode, a former minister of aviation and minister of culture and tourism. In a recent video that Arise TV posted on YouTube, Fani Kayode stated that the government of Chechnya cherishes and values the Quran similarly to how it does the Holy Bible, in contrast to other regions of the world where religious differences may cause strife.

In Fani Kayode’s words: “One of the strongest components of the Russian military today comes from Chechnya, 99% Muslims, very strong Muslims. What is happening there? The Russian government respects them as Muslims, revere the Quran as they revere the Holy Bible unlike in some parts of the world”.
