“Quite frankly, for me, I’m not desperate to be Nigerian president. I am desperate to see Nigeria work. If I see people who can do the work better, I will consider being Vice President,” Obi said.

Obi also revealed that he has been urged by some supporters not to contest in 2027. However, he welcomed the idea of others stepping up to run, stating, “Offer yourself. And we will not put everybody on a scale.”

Regarding his future with the Labour Party, Obi stated his commitment to remaining with the party while being open to potential alliances. “If anybody is coming for us to negotiate or to come together, he must tell me what his purposes are. I will not join anybody for state capture or just for winning the election,” he added, stressing the importance of policies that prioritize education and the welfare of children.

Meanwhile, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Labour Party, led by Julius Abure, has called for investigations into Obi and other prominent figures, including activist Aisha Yesufu and pan-Yoruba group Afenifere, for alleged misappropriation of campaign funds in the 2023 election.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
