Peter Obi made this statement in a live coverage by Symfoni TV. He also said that this is the first time a major political party in Nigeria (LP) has a national chairman born after independence, which he sees as a positive step forward. He added that it is time to bring in new leaders and retire those who have been in power for a long time.
In Obi’s words: “I keep telling you people that Datti and I would have been the first people born after Nigeria’s independence 63 years ago to become president and vice president.
