In a recent investigation, Sahara Reporters revealed that Aiyedetiwa said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made contact with him following his inauguration. Recounting the exchange, Aiyedetiwa said Tinubu wished him well and urged him to take charge, pushing him to bring people together and promote cooperation inside the government.
The transition of power in Ondo State unfolded due to the unfortunate circumstances of Akeredolu’s passing. Aiyedetiwa, previously the deputy governor, was sworn in to fill the vacuum created by his predecessor’s death. The state is now under the leadership of Aiyedetiwa as it navigates the challenges and responsibilities associated with a change in leadership.
Speaking to newsmen during his visit to see Tinubu in Lagos, Aiyedetiwa said, “He also wished me well, there can never be a vacuum. One era ends, another era begins, but it is still within the same administration, and that is the first time such a thing is happening in Ondo State – to have a transition within an administration due to the demise of the governor.
“It was basically advice and he encouraged me to take charge and mobilize everybody and pull everybody together to work together as one administration we are known for, to move the state forward.” CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
