According to reports, Akeredolu passed away after a protracted fight with leukemia; however, Sowore called the family’s claims false during an interview on Arise News TV.
Vanguard News stated that Sowore questioned the veracity of the information given by the wife and son, calling on the public to demand the physical exhibition of Akeredolu’s remains.
He alleged that the family, through their actions and statements, seemed dishonest about the governor’s time and place of death.
