According to him, Peter Obi is presently in a difficult position because of the Labour Party’s wrangling issues. He went ahead to claim Peter Obi has been a wonderful leader who has done his best in assembling both the Labour Party and the Obidient Movement. Ikenna Azomchine also added that they aren’t giving up on a new Nigeria because they still have lots of people pushing this Obidient Movement to make the country a better place for every Nigerian.
Quoting some of his statements in an interview he had with Arise News Television today, he said: “I think that the Labour Party must trade with caution because the coming of Peter Obi has skyrocketed the Labour Party to become a formidable opposition in Nigeria and they shouldn’t play with that. We have six million Obidients plus myself and many more who are waiting to be directed by the Labour Party so we are worried”.
The NLC and the Labour Party must respect the agreements they signed and make sure a proper convention is organized from the World level, to the State level to the Federal level and it must be given within the appropriate time, you cannot conduct a convention like a mushroom party.
“Peter Obi is in a very difficult position at this moment, it is difficult for you to know what path to take when people you believe in their ability to do the right thing are fumbling”.
