Yusuf Laments ‘In The Last 8 Months It Has Been Reported That 500 Officers Have Lost Their Lives To Ambush’

According to Professor Usman Yusuf, the former CEO of the National Health Insurance Scheme, 500 security personnel have died in terrorist-planned ambushes during the last eight months. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He claimed that these ambushes point to the terrorists’ possession of advanced intelligence. Why do these so-called ragtag terrorists still ambush soldiers and officers, Yusuf questioned.

He argued that this trend indicates a lack of improvement in security measures, despite assertions by some presidential advisors to the contrary.

He criticized the assurance of enhanced security from these advisors as both insulting and indicative of their detachment from the realities on the ground.

Yusuf called for substantial enhancements to be made, stating that the current strategies are inadequate and unlikely to address the prevailing security challenges effectively.

He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”The military is taking hits all over the place. From Delta to Zamfara, to Niger, to Katsina. In the last 8 months it has been reported that 500 officers have lost their lives to ambush by these terrorists. And any foe that ambushes you had a better intelligence than you.

Why are we losing soldiers, officers, and men in ambushes to these ragtag terrorists? So please security is not better, we get insulted when we hear those that are supposed to advise the President come to tell the world that security is better. No, it isn’t, we must do better.
