Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the widow of the former governor of Ondo State, expressed her sorrow at her husband Rotimi Akeredolu’s passing on Friday during his funeral in his hometown of Owo kingdom. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Former Ondo State First Lady Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu stated that she is grieved by her husband’s passing.

According to the Nigerian Tribune, Betty Akeredolu said as much on Friday during her Friday tribute to her late husband.

Recall that Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association died in December last year. He was buried in his hometown in Owo on Friday.

The burial service was attended by the Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Ibrahim Shettima, Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, Senate Leader, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, former House of Representatives member, Hon. Bimbo Daramola and many other influential Nigerians.

Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu said; “You just left me, just like that. It hurts, badly it hurts. Now alone to face all manners of mockery from the so-called friends and adversaries alike. That love at first sight turned out to be true and pure. And you were proud to say it.You were proud to show it. You were even prouder to tell the people of Ondo State and beyond that we were a team.”

He added; “You were audacious to tell your people that “you voted for one but got two”. A testimony of my positive contribution to your life and career, emotionally and intellectually”
