‘You Cannot Defend Tinubu Without Disgracing Yourself,’ - According to Dele Farotimi Hits at BAT Supporters

Author, political activist, and lawyer Dele Farotimi has turned to Twitter to attack those who back Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT), a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former governor of Lagos State. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, Farotimi tweeted that supporting Tinubu is akin to “self-denudement,” implying that it is impossible to stand up for him without embarrassing oneself.

Defending BAT is a self-deprecating activity; you cannot stand up for him without putting yourself in a bad light. He said, “You have to take off your own garment of honour in order to cloak the man, and the more loudly you defend the man, the more dishonourable you prove yourself to be.”

Farotimi has been an outspoken opponent of the 1999 Constitution and the Nigerian system. He is a member of the Citizens’ Rally against Oppression (RAMINBA). Additionally, he served as a spokesman for Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president in 2023. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
