In response to questions over Kogi Governor Usman Ododo’s absence from an APC event at the national headquarters, Justice and APC member Jesutega Onokpasa has provided an update. The deputy to Governor Ododo stated “security problems” as the reason for his absence. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
Many speculated, nevertheless, that his absence from the function was an attempt to thwart the EFCC’s plans to arrest former governor Yahaya Bello.
According to a video released by TVC, Onokpasa said that Ododo is focusing on Kogi State, which is larger than the entire Southeast.
According to him, Ododo had to deal with security issues in Kogi and that was the only reason he couldn’t attend the ceremony because of Bello’s situation.
Onokpasa stated, “Governor Ododo is in charge of a state that is bigger than the entire southeast; I am not his lawyer; I am not even holding briefs for him. His deputy said it was due to security reasons.”
“He has this huge state to administer; the security reasons could have anything to do with anywhere in his state, a state that is bigger than one of our six geopolitical zones; what does he have to do with Yahaya Bello?” CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
