According to Egoh, there have been a lot of rumors and questions raised concerning Wike’s loyalty to Abuja since his appointment.

However, he stressed that since Wike took on the position, he has effectively gone beyond expectations and disproved the opinions of those who have criticized him.

He said, “Wike’s arrival in Abuja was marked by controversy. Some individuals, including Peter Obi, believed a Southerner shouldn’t hold a ministerial position due to the long history of Northern ministers in Abuja.”
