Palliatives Won’t Solve Problem Of Hardship In Nigeria, Says Bayelsa Gov, Diri

Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, has said that the distribution of palliatives to citizens by the government is not the lasting solution to the economic hardship in the country.

Diri said this during the Easter Sunday service at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in his community, Sampou, in the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state.

The governor said even though he was not against the distribution of palliatives, he was more concerned with putting in place the right structures and systems to address the economic challenges.
