In a recent video that Channels TV posted to YouTube, Fubara thanked Wike for helping him win the governorship but said that worshiping any human being would not be sufficient for him. He declared that he is prepared to face judgment in the hereafter rather than the here on earth if his position is deemed to be sinful. He proclaimed his independence, saying that he is accountable to no one on Earth and that he is still dedicated to bringing about peace and harmony.

Fubara said he has actively participated in reconciliation efforts, demonstrating his willingness to engage in dialogue for the greater good of Rivers State.

In Fubara’s words: “I can’t worship a human being, if that is my sin, let me answer it in the last day in heaven but not on earth, I am not answerable to anyone on earth.
