General Musa used the late Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau as an example in an interview with Daily Trust TV. Shekau started off as a small-time trader but eventually developed into a dangerous man. He emphasized the value of community watchfulness and asked people to come forward when they saw someone acting suspiciously.

In General Musa’s words: “Who would have thought Shekau would do what he did, he was a petty trader but he turned to a monster.
