He emphasized that failure to hold those accountable for the horrible act will lead to anarchy and stated his support for Banez Plaza being closed until that time. He applauded the efforts of law enforcement and private citizens to step in and stop the situation from getting worse, which would have resulted in anything like what happened in Okuama.

He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”When you raise your hand on a soldier or a uniformed person, it is an attack on the state. And so every Nigerian of goodwill must condemn such an act. And so for me I join to support the closure of Banez Plaza. For as long as it takes to have everyone responsible for that dastardly act to be brought to book. If we fail to do so, then we will be calling for Anarchy. The only men who are sacrificing their lives to ensure our collective goods are members of the armed forces, the police, and other security agencies.

If on a slight provocation, they are now attacked to the extent that if not for the policemen and other private individuals that rescued those soldiers. We could have been looking at Okuama 2 which of course does not speak well of us. And I appreciate what the media a doing and I think we need to put the agenda straight about this discussion.
