Dalung claimed in a statement posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that some of the individuals denouncing the current rallies were also involved in the demonstrations against former President Goodluck Jonathan’s elimination of gasoline subsidies.

The protesters said that the protest was a way of attracting the attention of the government to their plight.

In his statement, Solomon Dalung said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was part of those who protested against the removal of fuel subsidy. He said that even former President Muhammad Buhari was part of that protest.

He said, “When Goodluck Ebere Jonathan was President, Muhammadu Buhari, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Shehu Sani, and Tunde Bakare protested against withdrawal of fuel subsidy in 2012. Goodluck Jonathan as a good leader, bowed to the democratic will of the people. The same people are now opposed to people protesting against hardship.” CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
