Adesina said in a Daily Trust TV interview that he sent Buhari an invitation card inadvertently in 2013 at his mother’s burial. To his surprise, he added, Buhari showed up and remained the whole time, even though the presentation was Christian.
According to Adesina, “I sent a card to [Buhari] when I lost my mom and we were burying her, and lo and behold, he turned there. Many people are unaware of that aspect of him; I was taken aback when I saw him at my mother’s burial.
