According to Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, Obidient movement members want President Tinubu’s administration to collapse. Speaking with Channels Television’s Seun Okinbaloye in an interview for MIC ON PODCAST, Onanuga claimed that while Peter Obi himself rarely comments on positive government actions, he is always the first to tweet about negative events. He said that there is a deliberate attempt from the Obidient movement to denigrate the government, and make it look like President Bola Tinubu is not doing well.
Onanuga said that it is too early to criticize Tinubu’s administration because he is still in his first year in office, and still has more than three years to stay in office.
He said, “Everything the government has done, even Peter Obi himself, read the streets, when the government has done something good he (Peter Obi) will never comment about it, but when it is bad news, quickly, he’ll tweet. So you can see a deliberate attempt to denigrate the government. To paint it black all the time that he’s not doing well, that he’s a failure. It’s too early to even say so. Tinubu has a four year mandate, he has just started.”
Onanuga said that he is very sure that Tinubu’s critics will be put to shame by the time Tinubu completes his mandate.
