At a memorial service for IDF troops lost in the fight against Hamas in Gaza, he said this at the President’s Residence.
“Israel has the full right to self-defense. Everyone with sense can see that Israel is acting in accordance with international law”, Herzog said.
According to Times Of Israel, President Isaac Herzog asserted that the genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice is akin to a “blood libel.”
He emphasized the just nature of Israel’s campaign, framing it as a fight for the release of hostages held by Hamas and the restoration of security for Israeli citizens in the face of Hamas’ threats and brutal actions.
