According to Sahara Reporters, Wike revealed that he received a text message from Ukachukwu’s brother, alleging that the minister had told his Ikwerre brothers that he would deal with Igbo people living in Abuja. Wike expressed his bewilderment at such claims, stating, “His brother sent me a text message. I have never met his brother but he sent me a message saying, ‘You told your Ikwerre brothers you will deal with Igbos in FCT’. Imagine such.”

The FCT Minister questioned the behavior of some Nigerians who make baseless accusations and expect different results while engaging in the same actions. He emphasized that Nigerians cannot continue to act in such a manner and expect positive change.

Wike provided further context to the situation, revealing that the land in question was allocated to Mr. Ukachukwu when there was no minister in office.
