Chidi Odinkalu, a lawyer and former chairman of the NHRC, emphasized the improperness of using the ministry’s limited resources for a private celebration in an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Mic On Podcast. He questioned the reasoning behind the decision, highlighting the difficulties the already impoverished ministry was facing.
In Odinkalu’s words: “How do you fund the birthday of a man with resources of the Ministry of Women Affairs? I could go on about this situation and the cabinet is dreadful, I am sorry.
