In my view, The eleven players that made the official team of the week fully deserves it due to their superb performances for their respective clubs.
Here is the official UEFA Champions League team of the week;
Goalkeeper;
The Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel who kept a clean-sheet during their home victory over Paris Saint Germain made the list.
Center backs;
The duo of Marquinhos and Nico Schlotterbeck who were both instrumental for their respective clubs were paired together in the center-back position.
Full backs;
The duo of Ian Maatsen and Achraf Hakimi who were both instrumental for their respective clubs were named in the full-backs position.
Midfielders;
The Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos who recorded an assist during their away draw against Bayern Munich made the list and was paired alongside Paris Saint Germain’s Vitinha in the central-midfield position.
The Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala who recorded an assist during their 2 – 2 draw against Real Madrid was named in the attacking-midfield position.
Wingers;
The Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior who recorded two goals during their UCL draw against Bayern Munich was named in the right-wing position while Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho was named as left winger.
Attacker;
