Speaking yesterday at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders’ meeting in Sokoto, Tambuwal stated that the APC, as a political party, had no intention of securing the nation and was solely interested in seizing power in order to dominate it.

The former governor said it was worrisome to see Tinubu’s aides and associates using some unsolicited and negative remarks against Buhari’s tenure.

The Organised Labour said it has mobilised for full implementation of its indefinite nationwide strike over electricity tariff increase and new minimum wage for workers.

The NLC spokesperson, Mr. Benson Upah, told Daily Sun that a strike strategy meeting was held over the weekend to ensure that all affiliates and states were fully involved in the industrial action.

20,000 New Voters Registered In Ondo — INEC Chair

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof . Mahmood Yakubu, on Sunday, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration in Ondo State.

Yakubu, who was in the state to assess the exercise, told journalists that as of Saturday, the commission had registered 20,000 fresh Ondo voters ahead of the November 16 governorship election in the state.

Edo LP Crisis Won’t Derail My Campaign — Akpata

The Labour Party candidate in the Edo State September 21 governorship election, Olumide Akpata, has said he will not allow the internal crisis rocking the party to distract him from his ongoing campaign.

He said he believed that the LP internal crisis would not stop Edo people from voting for him if they believed in his message.

Akpata spoke to journalists on Sunday in Benin, the state capital.

Lamenting the protracted LP internal crisis, he said, “If we were having primaries, I would be bothered. But this is a state election and our target audience is the people of Edo State.
