Anthony Onyemaechi Elumelu also known as Tony O. Elumelu CFR (born 22 March 1963) is a Nigerian economist, and philanthropist. He chairs Heirs Holdings, Transcorp, United Bank for Africa (UBA) and he is the founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation.

According to Wikipedia, Tony Elumelu worked in the Nigerian Bank Union Bank as a Youth Corp member during his National Youth Service Corps in 1985, before starting his career as a salesman. Tony Elumelu subsequently joined Allstates Trust Bank in 2005 and United Bank for Africa (UBA) was acquired afterwards.
