To A Video Of A Soldier Abusing Gov. Sanwo Olu For Arresting His Fellow soldier COAS Reacts

In a video released by Channels Television, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, responded to a clip showing a soldier assaulting Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu for apprehending his comrade on a one-way road. He further stated that the soldier who was abusing the governor has been apprehended and is currently undergoing an investigation. He, however, urged everyone to distance themselves from various people who parade themselves as soldiers on social media.

According to him, “But for what you alleged that soldiers have gone to social media casting aspersion on the person and the office of the governor of Lagos State, I’ll say it’s only one person that has done that. The army has investigated, that soldier has been apprehended, and we’re investigating. For every comical act you’re seeing on social media, they’re not personnel of the Nigerian army.
