This revelation was given by Wole Soyinka during a TVC News briefing after he had spent some time with Bola Tinubu and the First Lady. Wole Soyinka stated during the press conference, “My first visit was actually an embarrassing visit because when I visited him (Bola Tinubu) the last time, I tried to persuade him not to run for office.”
“I think that I have written about that. I told him (Bola Tinubu) and Atiku Abubakar that they should leave the ground for the young people. That was the last time we met about five years ago. I secretly call him a stubborn man. He ignored my advise completely. So, I came to see how he is doing after rejecting my advise.
