In a video shared on YouTube by Channels TV, Ehie stated that despite rumors of his demise and being declared wanted, he remains resolute. He revealed that he was approached to support an impeachment against Governor Fubara but he refused, even when offered a substantial amount of money. He said as a result of his refusal to support the plot to impeach Fubara, he and others were targeted and declared wanted.

In Edison Ehie’s words: “They said they have killed and buried me, they said they have declared me wanted, is this not me? We are coming. For this thing they did to your son and to our sons they have kept in Kuje prison, we are going to teach them a lesson of political arithmetics. Because everything they planned did not work, they invited me to impeach the governor and I told them clearly that I won’t join them.
