They became emboldened when they found that ECOWAS could not muster forces to dislodge them -According to Dahiru

But when discussing the matter, seasoned diplomat Ambassador Suleiman Dahiru said in an interview with Daily Trust TV that the military leaders were given more confidence when they realized that ECOWAS was unable to assemble reliable soldiers to overthrow them. He pointed out that a force with the ability to carry out the threat must support a credible threat.

In Dahiru’s words: “They became emboldened when they found that ECOWAS could not muster forces to dislodge them. So if you are making a threat, that threat must be backed by a credible force that would carry out your threat. But if you threaten an individual or a military government and the military government senses that the threat is not credible, then they will just ignore you and this is exactly what they did” CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
