In a video Asari Dokubo shared on his Facebook page, he highlighted his commitment to being part of a government that can bring positive change to the people. He stated that he has always worked to improve the lives of those around him and he feels it is necessary to acknowledge his accomplishments and set himself apart from regular politicians.
Dokubo said his approach to politics is different because he prioritizes truth and positive change over traditional political strategies.
In Dokubo’s words: “The sea I have traversed, none of these people can; so you will now take me and compare me with Wike? All of us know our antecedents. One thing I believe in, I cannot be in a government that cannot change the narrative for the people because I change the narrative for myself and for those around me. I don’t believe in vain glory but I have to tell people because it now necessary to blow my trumpet. I am not a regular politician and I can never be a regular politician because I am going to tell you the truth.
