Recall that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), were defeated by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential contest.

In a recent interview with Channels Television, Adeniyi Kunnu said: “The president (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) did not actually start on a good footing, no matter the kind of marketing they gave him. As a matter of fact, when they marketed President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigerians prior to the 2015 election and he came into office, and we actually had many of the areas under Boko Haram in the Northeast recovered until he lost them again.
