The Outcome Of The Presidential Elections Was Contested & The Courts Have Spoken, So Be It- According to Obi

The Sun reports that Mr. Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, has expressed gratitude to those Nigerians who backed his campaign and cast ballots for his party in the 2023 elections because they shared his vision for a New Nigeria. The former governor made this statement during his new year message to Nigerians, where he emphasized that Nigeria is our only country, richly endowed but has suffered from a lack of effective leadership over the years. We will persist in our quest for a new Nigeria, believing in the possibility of positive change.

In his own words, Peter Obi said “Nigerians today are acutely aware of and persuaded that we still lack the responsible leadership, inclusive growth, and effective government that characterize a functioning democracy. However, in order to find meaningful answers to the plethora of social issues we face, we must be steadfast and constant in our demands for the rule of law, high-quality regulations, and efficient government.

Further speaking, the former candidate said “It is on record that there was contesting the results of the presidential elections, but “the courts of law have spoken; so be it.” I want to express my gratitude to the Obidient Family, of Nigeria, as well as to the members of the Labour Party, for their fidelity, fortitude, and dedication to genuine democracy.
