Prior to the general elections of 2027, the chief spokesperson of the former Labour Party presidential campaign group, Yunusa Tanko, has charged that the federal government is attempting to enrich themselves through the Lagos-Calabar highway project.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
Yunusa Tanko who made such accusation during an interview with CHANNELS TV host, Seun Okinbaloye few hours ago, stated that the money that the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is spending could have been used in building roads that will connect people from their local areas to the main roads where agricultural products are being transported to the urban areas, adding that they are supposed to embark on projects that will bring succor to Nigerians, including reviving the refineries across the 6 geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
Speaking further, Yunusa Tanko stated that the Lagos-Calabar highway is not needed for now, adding that they would have used the money in producing things that people can invest in.
Yunusa Tanko then alleged that;
“The Lagos-Calabar road is a scam, it’s a scam that they want to use to enrich themselves and raise money for the next elections”
