He noted that it is unexpected for the former Accountant-General to reveal such information after almost a year in office.

He questioned Fubara’s decision to remain silent on the matter until now, while also recognizing that financial management is an essential aspect of governance worldwide, aimed at benefiting the people.

He highlighted the expectation that a governor, who once served as the state’s financial overseer, should have provided transparency and clarity on the state’s financial standing from the beginning of their term.

He said, “We can see clearly that the governor (Fubara) is now raising an issue that the entire world is shocked. The Accountant-general (Fubara) of a system is telling us what he did not tell us when took over the office. And he has spent close to one year in office. He is now coming up to say there are debts that was left for him. As far as we are concerned as Nigerians and Rivers people, governance all over the world is involved in financial transactions for the good of their people.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
