Following his 16th goal of the season, Hojlund has become United’s top scorer, just ten months after his £72 million transfer from Atalanta.

Reacting to Hojlund’s impact, Ten Hag said, “He came in after we scored and showed great freshness, scoring two great goals and making a strong impression.”

He added that the decision between formations is a “luxury problem” for the team, indicating that both setups could be effective.

“I think it’s a luxury problem and I think both formations can be a success because, as you know, we can play like the set-up in the Etihad where we were a threat, with movement in behind.
