Suspected Suicide Bomber “They said if I raise alarm They’d explode me in the bank and they had eyes inside watching”

Benjamin Basil, a student at Polytechnic University who was captured on camera robbing a bank of 100 million naira, has claimed that he carried out the deed out of fear for his life. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In a video shared on YouTube by Daily Trust TV, Basil said kidnappers forced him into a bus near the police staff college and pointed guns at him, leaving him with no choice but to obey their commands. He said the kidnappers asked him to raise his shirt and he complied because he was terrified for his life. He said they wrapped what they claimed to be a bomb around his waist and handed him two bags, instructing him to enter the bank and demand one hundred million naira. He said they warned him that they had eyes inside the bank and their accomplices were waiting outside to detonate the bomb if he raised any alarms.
