The launch of the Troost Ekong Foundation on Sunday in Uyo attracted some of Nigeria’s foremost entertainment stars, including Sabinus, Falz, Odumodu Black, and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. However, the Nigeria Labour Congress strike meant that some guests were unable to leave the city, prompting Ekong to take action.

According to reports, Ekong spent 17 million naira to charter a private jet to get some of his guests out of Uyo. “Ekong spent 17 million naira to charter a private jet to get some of his guests out of Uyo, no thanks to the labour strike,” the source informed SCORENigeria.

The strike also affected the Super Eagles camp, as five players – Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Frank Onyeka, Paul Onuachu, and Semi Ajayi – were delayed in joining the team in Uyo due to the strike.
