Mbaka claimed in a video released by TVC that he and other participants in the most recent organized labor strike were left stranded when demonstrators stormed the airport and stopped all activities. Mbaka highlighted the suffering of the people and the urgent need to address the minimum wage issue to prevent further unrest.

In Father Mbaka’s words: “All of us were at Lagos during the last strike, we could not come back. The Labour people entered into the airport and stopped every operation.
