Prominent PDP member in Ogun State, Segun Sowunmi, expressed worry over the judiciary’s incapacity to shield Nigerians from what he perceives to be APC mismanagement. He declared that it is illogical for someone with only eight million votes to be in a leadership position, accusing the party of scheming to seize control with 93 million votes up for grabs. According to Daily Post, Sowunmi emphasized, “Nigerians need to recognize that democracy grants them the chance to choose leaders. Taking elections lightly is unacceptable. It makes no sense for anyone to let a leader with just eight million votes govern the country, considering the total voter population is 93 million.”

“The more they come out to vote, the more their views will be respected, even though we know that this one that they won, they came in through manipulation and an unfortunate deniability for the judiciary to rescue the Nigerian citizens; we are all living witnesses of what is going on,” Sowunmi said.
