Sokoto Cleric: The Driver Was Killed Instantly, And The Bandits Used His Flesh To Feed Their Dogs

Saharareporters has reported that Sheikh Bashar Danfili, an Islamic cleric in Sokoto State, has recounted a devastating account of his family’s six abductions. A man, his mother, stepmother, two spouses, and sister are among the victims. They were traveling to a village in the state when they were abducted by bandits. In a video, Sheikh Danfili revealed the shocking details of the incident. Danfili said, “The bandits have kidnapped my close relatives, though I prefer not to disclose their names. They were on their way to a village when they were attacked and taken. The driver was killed instantly, and the bandits used his flesh to feed their dogs.

Sheikh Danfili explained that the bandits have requested a large sum of money as ransom, which his family cannot afford. The deadline for the payment is fast approaching, and the cleric fears for the lives of his relatives. He said, “They have given us a deadline to pay the ransom or they will kill all the captives. I fear they will follow through, especially after the recent killing of a traditional ruler in the state by his abductors.”
