As is well known, President Bola Tinubu was forewarned by APC leader Senator Ali Ndume, the Chief Whip of the Senate, about the proposed transfer of some CBN departments and the corporate headquarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to Lagos. However, in an interview with Arise TV, Dayo Sobowole, a public affairs analyst, suggested that what Ndume meant by political consequences was that the north would withhold support for Tinubu in future election. He concluded by highlighting that the matter pertains to Ali Ndume and the president, who is the leader of APC.

In Sobowole’s words: “What Ndume was trying to say was that the north will not vote for Tinubu again, you can interpret it several ways but it is a threat. But he said political consequences so I will just think of voting because an election is power that you have that is not illicit for you to remove any president.
