Slain Soldiers: I am surprised my name as a monarch will appear in list of wanted persons—According to King IkoloThe king of Ewu Kingdom, Clement Ikolo, has responded to his name being added to the list of people the army has proclaimed wanted in connection with the deaths of 17 soldiers in the Okuama community in Delta State. King Ikolo recently expressed shock that his name was on such a list in a video that TVC posted to YouTube. He said that it goes against his Catholic religion and denied any involvement in the troops’ deaths. Additionally, he pleaded with the authorities to make sure that the true criminals are found and brought to justice.

In King Ikolo’s words: “I am surprised that my name as a monarch will appear in a list of wanted persons. I have no hands in killings, I have no hands in encouraging anybody to kill anybody. It is against my philosophy as a human being and my faith as a Catholic: It is against it. This is a serious crime against humanity and I think they need to look at the appropriate places, they need to do a thorough investigation to know all those who have committed this and bring them to book and let justice prevail. I am not a party to this”.
