Simon Ekpa's Biafran Agitations Land Him in Court: FInland Takes Action

The self-declared prime minister of Biafra, Simon Ekpa, is presently facing legal proceedings in Finland, according to Elina Valtonen, Finland’s minister of foreign affairs. Despite the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) mainstream leadership stopping the exercises, Ekpa, a resident of Finland, has been a steadfast supporter of sit-at-home orders in Nigeria’s South Eastern states.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

According to Channels Television, Valtonen made the disclosure during a press conference in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, alongside her Nordic counterparts on Tuesday. She stated that the Nigerian government had reported Ekpa’s activities to the Finnish government, leading to the court case.

Ekpa was previously arrested in Finland in February 2023 for threatening that elections would not hold in the South-East region. He has since been released and continues to post pro-Biafran messages on social media.

The Nordic ministers, including those from Sweden, Iceland, Norway, and Denmark, are on a two-day trip to Nigeria and Ghana to deepen trade ties and focus on areas such as countering violent extremists in West Africa and achieving sustainable development goals.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
