Samuel Ortom, a former governor of Benue State, emphasized the need of peace in Rivers State in a video released by TVC. He specifically emphasized a statement made by Governor Fubara regarding the importance of sacrifice for peace. He emphasized that Rivers State has a history of being regarded as a peaceful state and that it is imperative that this reputation be maintained. He, however, thanked the minister of FCT for his services to the state and to the country at large. He described Wike as a great man who has accomplished his goals as governor of Rivers State and minister of FCT.
According to him, “I want to say lastly to the people of Rivers State, please, including our brother, the governor. He said something that I cherish and appreciate, saying that there’s no amount of sacrifice that can be given for the sake of peace. Let him live by that word. We must work together, and peace must reign in Rivers State. It is needless for anybody to bring crisis in Rivers State.
