Showunmi asks Tinubu: Will you now break a long term understanding between the Yorubas & the North

 

Segun Showunmi, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has questioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on social media about his intentions to dissolve the long-standing agreement that has already been forged between Nigeria’s northern and southern regions. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Segun Showunmi who asked the president such question in a post which he captioned, “This madness must stop” through his official X account few minutes ago, stated that upon reflection on the trajectory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his journey to the presidency, he finds his mind wondering if Bola Ahmed Tinubu is still the same person that he has always admired, adding that he has betrayed both former governors, Nasir El-Rufai and Yahaya Bello that supported him during the 2023 elections.

Segun Showunmi went ahead to state that the issues from the Awolowo era have not been resolved with other tribes, but men like former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, Pa Adebanjo and himself who have demanded that fairness in terms of allowing the Southeasterners to rule the country.

Segun Showunmi then asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu;

“Will you now break a long-term understanding between the Yorubas and the North because you are now acting like you won’t respect people who supported you to the max, especially against their brothers Atiku and Kwankwaso.”
