Former senator Shehu Sani has talked about his experiences during military rule while he was imprisoned. Sani recounted how his life sentence was subsequently reduced to 15 years in jail in a video that TVC posted on YouTube. Sani said he was transferred to the prison in Port Harcourt, Rivers State where he witnessed the execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa. He said while in Port Harcourt prison, he managed to communicate with the public through a letter and he was later relocated to Aba prison in Abia State.
