Shehu Sani Responds Following Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali Wants to Process Gold, Uranium & Lithium Locally

Former Nigerian senator Shehu Sani shared the comments regarding the necessity for Nigeria to follow neighboring countries in locally processing its natural resources in a major statement posted on his verified Twitter account. In his words, he said;”Burkina Faso wants to process its Gold deposits locally. Niger Republic wants to process their Uranium locally. Mali wants to process its Lithium locally. That is the way to go with Nigeria’s crude oil. This country’s refineries must work”.

A focal point of Sani’s message is the revitalization of Nigeria’s refinery infrastructure. Despite being a major oil producer in Africa, Nigeria has grappled with insufficient refining capacity, resulting in a heavy reliance on imported petroleum products and substantial revenue loss.
