Shehu Sani Responds after Governor Uba Sani said he inherited N85bn and $587m debts

Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Shehu Sani, has expressed his views on social media in response to Kaduna state governor Uba Sani’s revelation of the debt he inherited from the previous government. Remember that a few hours ago, at a town hall meeting, Governor Uba Sani declared that he inherited debts totaling 85 billion Naira and 587 million USD from the previous administration. Governor Uba Sani also disclosed that he is yet to borrow money since he came into power, despite such huge debt burden on the state government, adding that Kaduna state is now paying back almost triple of what was borrowed by the former government due to the rise in the exchange rate.

Such disclosure has however, sparked several reactions from Nigerians, including Shehu Sani who took to his official X account to thank God.

According to the politician, posterity has vindicated him from the Kaduna state loan and debt profile.
