Shehu Sani Responds After EFCC Declared Yahaya Bello Wanted Over N80 Billion Alleged Money Laundering

In response to the announcement that Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello was placed under arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly laundering N80 billion in cash, former senator Shehu Sani responded. Sani, a vocal critic of the Governor, commended the EFCC for taking the bold step towards holding public officials accountable for their actions. The EFCC had earlier declared Bello wanted, accusing him of diverting billions of naira meant for the state’s treasury.
